Dr Rebecca Cleary

Dr Rebecca Cleary is a Clinical and Laboratory Haematologist with a broad range of clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of both malignant and non-malignant haematological presentations. Rebecca has a strong focus on communication, establishing an excellent rapport with her patients and their families. Ensuring that all patients have a thorough understanding of their diagnosis and treatment plan is a priority in Rebecca’s practice.

Rebecca consults within Haematology Queensland (HQ). HQ is an independently owned group of three Brisbane Haematologists who offer a unique, personalised approach to Haematology, providing an exceptional standard of care to patients. Rebecca consults from Westside Private Hospital in Taringa, and the North Lakes Day Hospital; as well as providing inhospital patient care at The Wesley Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital.

Rebecca is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). After completing her medical training at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom in 2006, Rebecca immigrated to Australia in 2008. She subsequently completed her specialist advanced training in clinical and laboratory haematology at a number of Brisbane hospitals including the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Rebecca has a strong focus on current best practice by keeping up to date with developments in the field of haematology and participating in professional development and teaching. In addition to her practice with HQ, Rebecca holds positions as a staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and QML pathology.
