After completing undergraduate degrees of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy at the University of Queensland, Dr Borgna was accepted onto the Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial training program. This afforded him the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge in the management of: Dental Implant and Dentoalveolar (Wisdom Tooth) Surgery, Maxillofacial Trauma Surgery, Orthognathic (Jaw) & Facial deformity Surgery, Salivary Gland Surgery and Oral Medicine and Maxillofacial Pathology.

In 2013, Dr Borgna undertook a clinical fellowship in Head & Neck Cancer and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery, at the Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

In 2015, Dr Borgna was awarded the speciality fellowship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, in both the United Kingdom – FRCS(OMFS) and Australia – FRACDS(OMS).

Dr Borgna is the current Chair of the Board of Studies in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (RACDS), which is responsible for the training of OMS specialists in Australia and New Zealand.

Dr Borgna is a staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and consults privately in the QOMS rooms.

Dr Jen-Ti (Rachel) Hsieh is an oral & maxillofacial surgeon with dual qualifications in Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales with honors and her dental degree at Griffith University. She then undertook her specialist surgical training at various hospitals across Queensland and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, FRACDS (OMS).

Dr Hsieh is a consultant oral & maxillofacial surgeon at Logan Hospital and Woolloongabba Oral Health Centre. She is passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge with undergraduate students, OMS registrars in training, as well as general medical and dental colleagues.

Dr Hsieh practices the full scope of oral & maxillofacial surgery with special interest in oral pathology, corrective jaw surgery for dentofacial deformities or obstructive sleep apnoea, and dentoalveolar surgeries in patients with inherited or acquired bleeding tendencies. Having dual qualifications means Dr Hsieh is the key connection between her medical and dental colleagues. It allows safe and comprehensive treatment for patients with complex medical and dental needs.

Dr Hsieh divides her time between public and private practice. Outside of work, Rachel is a busy mum looking after her young family with two beautiful twin girls. Originally from Taiwan, Dr Hsieh speaks fluent Mandarin and enjoys cooking Asian flavoured cuisine

Dr Nigel Johnson is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who practises the full scope of the speciality including but not limited to:  Dentoalveolar Surgery (wisdom teeth), Osseointegrated Dental Implants, Orthognathic Surgery / Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, Maxillofacial Trauma Reconstruction, Temporomandibular Joint Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

Dr Johnson holds the following University of Queensland qualifications:  Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc Hons), Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Masters of Philosophy (MPhil Surgery). Dr Johnson undertook his speciality surgical training in Queensland and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, FRACDS (OMS).

Dr Johnson possesses a strong research interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  He has authored numerous papers in International journals on: Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Craniomaxillofacial Trauma and Temporomandibular Joint Replacement prostheses; and presented at International, National and State conferences.

Dr Johnson is also appointed at the Princess Alexandra Hospital as a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is involved in the training of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Registrars, junior doctors, medical and dental students.

Outside of work, Nigel enjoys spending time with his wife, sons, family and friends.

Throughout her training, Dr Anna Raymond has worked closely with maxillofacial surgeon, Dr Barbara Woodhouse. She has now returned home to Brisbane to commence her own practice as a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon by joining her mentor and friend at the Wickham Terrace Surgical Centre.

Dr Raymond’s passion for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery started as a Brisbane-based dental student at the University of Queensland. Graduating in 2005 with Honours, she was also awarded a prestigious medal in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Returning to the UQ medical school, Dr Raymond went on to receive an MBBS (Honours) in 2010. Throughout her subsequent years as a junior doctor, she was fortunate to work and train in maxillofacial units in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra as well as at a highly respected unit in the UK.

Dr Raymond also spent 12 months as a lecturer in Oral Surgery at the University of Queensland Dental School. More recently she authored a textbook chapter in Head, Neck and Dental Emergencies, published as part of the well-known Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine Series in 2018.

As an expert clinician, she is well known for her warm smile, kind and gentle nature and clear communication. Dr Anna Raymond is the type of surgeon who always makes time for her patients. Her provision of genuine care compliments the entire practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at WTSC.

Dr Barbara Woodhouse graduated in dentistry from the University of Queensland in 1978 and worked for Queensland Health and in private practice – both in rural Queensland and in Brisbane – before deciding to specialise in oral and maxillofacial surgery.  After completing a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, she returned to the University of Queensland to teach and to complete a Masters degree in oral and maxillofacial surgery in combination with a four-year surgical training program, initially at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.  To broaden her experience, Dr. Woodhouse completed her final year in a world class training facility in the United Kingdom and was admitted to Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

She was awarded a traveling Fellowship to Europe in recognition of the work she undertook in England. On her return to Australia, Dr. Woodhouse commenced private practice in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  At the same time she completed a medical degree through the University of Queensland and was awarded a specialist Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

She was appointed as a consultant at the Royal Brisbane Hospital from 1994 to 2009, where she pioneered several techniques not previously performed by oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Queensland. She has also served as Lieutenant Colonel Consultant to the Australian Army, and has served on the national board of examiners for doctors applying for specialist registration in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is a frequently invited speaker to medical and dental groups both in Australia and overseas.

Dr. Barbara Woodhouse frequently travels overseas to extend her skills and training and is the chair of Operation Interface, (an NGO affiliated with the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons) which supervises the supply of surgical expertise to Bangladesh, Cambodia Fiji, Tonga, PNG, Vietnam and Vanuatu and initiates and supports training programs for local surgeons in these areas
