Dr Peter Ko is a specialist gastroenterologist with an interest in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He works as a senior staff specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Peter graduated from medical school in 2007 and completed his specialty training in South Korea. During this time, he completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in internal medicine. Peter has been working as a consultant gastroenterologist since 2013 and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2019. He has strong interest and extensive experience in treating large and complicated polyps and has a demonstrated track record of excellent outcomes.

Dr Xuan Banh is an Australian trained gastroenterologist who graduated from the University of Queensland and subsequently underwent physician training at multiple hospitals, including the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Logan Hospital and QEII Jubilee Hospital. She also undertook post-fellowship training in Luminal Interventional Endoscopy at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.

Dr Linus Chang has been a consultant gastroenterologist since 2010. He has special interests in high quality surveillance colonoscopy, monitoring of gastric intestinal metaplasia to detect early stomach cancer and Hepatitis B. He has special expertise in endoscopic ultrasound which is used to clarify intestinal subepithelial lesions, and pancreaticobiliary disease.

He undertook his gastroenterology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Townsville. He had further subspecialty training in endoscopic ultrasound and its role in the diagnosis and staging of upper gastrointestinal cancer at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth in 2009 with further periods of observation and hands-on training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, USA and St Luc Hospital in Montreal, Canada.

Dr Chang was formerly staff specialist at the Mater Hospital Brisbane and lecturer with the University of Queensland. He was colonoscopy trainer for ten years to gastroenterology trainees at the Mater Hospital Brisbane. He is now solely in private practice and performs procedures at Mater Private South Brisbane, Mater Private Springfield, Westside Private in Taringa and Sunnybank Private Hospital.

Dr Chang consults at the Salmon Building on Stanley Street, South Brisbane and at Suite 21, Sunnybank Private Hospital Specialist Consulting Suites, 245 McCullough St, Sunnybank.

His practice offers a choice of direct access or consultation led endoscopy.

Dr Alicia Heald, Specialist Plastic Surgeon, completed her undergraduate training in physiotherapy before graduating from a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours and the University Medal, from the Australian National University. A Queensland native, Dr Heald further honed her skills over 11 years of surgical training across various tertiary hospitals in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, culminating in a fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Angela Richards is a highly-skilled ophthalmic surgeon with expertise in cataract surgery, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Dr. Richards graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland medical program. She completed a Master of Science in Medicine (Ophthalmic Science) from the University of Sydney School of Medicine.

Having completed RANZCO ophthalmology training in Queensland, Dr. Richards moved to the United Kingdom for two years of further training. She accepted a prestigious fellowship in the field of Medical Retina at London’s Moorfields Eye Hospital. There she gained additional experience in advanced cataract surgery and was trained by ophthalmologists who are widely considered to be world leaders in the diagnosis, medical management and research of retinal diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. During her tenure, she gained extensive surgical experience in managing the complexities of cataract surgery in patients with retinal conditions. She was awarded the Topham Scholarship and the RANZCO Travelling Scholarship for her dedication to furthering her skills through the pursuit of overseas advanced training.

Over the years, Dr. Richards has gained diverse experience while working at a number of locations including Brisbane, Townsville, Gold Coast, Darwin, rural Australia, London and North Yorkshire. In her pursuit of providing the highest standard of care, she actively engages in clinical trials, offering her patients access to new therapies that may improve their outcomes. Monica is deeply empathetic, understanding the unique biopsychosocial needs of her patients and their families. Dr Chow completed her MBBS undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney, her General Surgery training at Westmead Hospital and in surrounding areas including Canberra (2003-2006).

Her colorectal training (CSSANZ)was completed at the Prince of Wales Hospital (NSW) in 2007 and the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital in 2008. She undertook specialist robotic training at Anam Hospital, Korea University Medical College, in Seoul.

Susan has worked in Reproductive Medicine for more than 25 years. She has

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and difficult conceptions.

She is a fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians
and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), and has a Masters degree in Reproductive
Medicine from UNSW , Sydney . She has contributed to research in many
international journals. She is also a Member of the American, European and
Australian Societies of Reproductive Medicine.
