Dr Mark Norrie

Dr Mark Norrie has such an interesting career working across Australia and New Zealand. He started with us at Montserrat Day Hospitals back in 2003 and currently has procedure lists and consults from Westside Private Hospital and regularly visits Longreach and Emerald.

Mark graduated with MBChB in 1988 and has completed a PhD at the University of New South Wales in Molecular Biology, looking at gene methylation in colorectal biology carcinoma. He is trained in all facets of Gastroenterology including training in the provision of small bowel capsule endoscopy. He also continues to practice in the public health system.

With a commitment to pass on his wealth of knowledge in 2010 Mark devoted time as a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University and regularly does trips to provide his services in third-world countries

He maintains an active participation in the Royal College of Physicians Continuing Professional Development programs and on a personal note enjoys running, reading and has a passion for travelling.
