Dr Alicia Heald, Specialist Plastic Surgeon, completed her undergraduate training in physiotherapy before graduating from a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours and the University Medal, from the Australian National University. A Queensland native, Dr Heald further honed her skills over 11 years of surgical training across various tertiary hospitals in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, culminating in a fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Heald is committed to forming strong patient-doctor relationships, ensuring patients feel supported and informed throughout their surgical journey.
Dr Heald has a special interest in:
- Skin cancer management including advanced Melanoma
- Benign skin concerns- lipoma and cysts
- Microsurgery
- Breast surgery eg. breast reduction, breast lift, breast augmentation, breast implant removal/explant surgery, breast reconstruction, gynaecomastia
- Body surgery- abdominoplasty and body contouring procedures after significant weight loss or post pregnancy repair of muscle separation
- Rhinoplasty
- Facial plastic surgery including facelift and blepharoplasty
